April Scott McCann, an associate with the firm, concentrates her practice on estate planning and administration, including related tax matters.
April completes estate plans for simple to highly complex matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has extensive experience drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trust agreements, generation-skipping trusts, “Life Insurance Trusts,” GRATs, charitable trusts and limited partnerships. She performs estate planning calculations and prepares schedules detailing optimum estate plans to achieve maximum preservation of assets for clients.
In addition, April handles all aspects of estate administration, including preparation of federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns, including tax forms 706, NJ-ITR, NJ-ITE and 709. She is responsible for asset valuation, preparation and filing of qualified disclaimers, refunding bonds and releases and New Jersey tax waivers. April also researches and prepares legal memoranda on additional federal and state taxation issues.
