Strategically Positioning Clients to Acquire or Sell a Business
With what will hopefully be renewed growth in the economy and the renewed willingness of financial institutions to lend funds, Norris McLaughlin & Marcus (formerly Tallman, Hudders & Sorrentino) will present a late afternoon seminar entitled "Stragetically Positioning Clients to Acquire or Sell a Business." This seminar, directed to financial advisors, insurance professionals, accountants, business brokers, bankers and other professionals in the financial services industry, will address the current state of affiars, concerns, issues and timeliness of positioning clients anticipating expanding their business or selling a business.
This seminar will review several strategies to prepare and position a company anticipating an asset or equity sale. It will also focus on the necessary process and due diligence required when purchasing businesses.
Speakers will include Norris McLaughlin & Marcus Partners Matthew R. Sorrentino, Dolores A. Laputka, John F. Lushis, Jr., and S. Graham Simmons, all of whom will address regulatory issues, implications of tax laws and anticipated changes, government funding opportunities, financing requirements, and issues and regulatory matters. In addition, NM&M Partners George C. Hlavac, Chalres A. Bruder, and Theodore J. Zeller III, will also be available during the question and answer session to address employment matters, executive compensation issues and related topics.
