Launch of NMM Women's Forum

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A. is pleased to announce the launch of the NMM Women’s Forum, a group comprised of approximately 30 women attorneys who excel in nearly every area of law. The mission of the NMM Women’s Forum is to promote the advancement of women while drawing on the particular legal expertise of its members in cooperation with other women leaders throughout New Jersey and New York. The NMM Women’s Forum will host, attend and sponsor various educational, charitable and social activities geared toward women in business and leadership roles.

In the area of Educational Programming, the NMM Women’s Forum will present periodic educational programming for clients, prospects, business partners and members of the community. Educational programming will be presented in the form of panel discussions, lectures, seminars and resource materials developed by various speakers whose experience lends itself to the topic at hand.

Members of the Forum currently maintain and enhance Norris McLaughlin & Marcus’ relationships with several local, state and national charities by sponsoring, hosting and planning events and activities which benefit these charities. These activities provide a setting for enhanced community relations and business networking, and offer an opportunity to promote women as the competent and philanthropic individuals that they are.

The NMM Women’s Forum places particular emphasis on its members’ involvement and leadership in the region’s business, legal, charitable, civic and women’s groups and organizations. The Forum strongly believes that as its members serve in leadership roles within these organizations, they will be able to promote positive change for all women while establishing fruitful relationships with their fellow colleagues.

The NMM Women’s Forum is a Founding Member of the New Jersey Council on Gender Parity’s Forum on Workplace Practices in Law, a consortium of law firms committed to women’s leadership, workplace diversity and organizational effectiveness in the legal community.
