John J. Buckley, Esq., an Associate at Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., will discuss the topic of marijuana in the workplace for the Bux-Mont Human Resources Association at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, at Indian Valley Country Club in Telford.
Bux-Mont Human Resources Association is a nonprofit group committed to helping human resources professionals fulfill their varied responsibilities by providing opportunities to network with peers, exchange experiences, and learn about current human resources issues. They are dedicated to increasing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of member companies’ human resources departments, managers, supervisors, and staff through educational events, communication channels, and roundtable discussions facilitated by qualified leaders and professionals.
Buckley focuses his practice primarily on employment law and commercial litigation. He handles matters ranging from breach of employment agreements and restrictive covenants to discrimination, disability, and wage and hour violations under federal and state laws. In his litigation practice, Buckley is involved in a wide range of issues including business litigation, landlord/tenant matters, and contract disputes. Prior to joining the firm, he served as law clerk to the Honorable A. Richard Caputo, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania and the Board of Directors for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Council. Buckley received his B.A. in 2009 from Penn State University and his J.D. in 2012 from George Mason University School of Law.
