David Seth Blatteis is a member of the firm and its Business Law Group and he is also the Chair of the NM&M Pharma Service Group. He has extensive transactional experience in the areas of general business law, pharmaceutical and health care, mergers and acquisitions, financing and securities. He handles many significant transactions in the pharmaceutical, health care and manufacturing industries.
David represents leading health care service organizations, that provide sales, marketing, technology and compliance solutions to global pharmaceutical companies. For these clients, he negotiates and prepares major outsourced sales team, promotional, risk-share, sale force automation, technology and joint venture agreements. These clients utilize David's extensive experience negotiating contracts, his understanding of a complex healthcare compliance and regulatory environment (including state and federal heathcare laws), and his years of experience working with in-house counsel and procurement departments.
David also represents the world's fourth largest manufacturer of generic drugs by negotiating and preparing licensing, joint venture and distribution agreements for this client. He is also counsel to the world's leading manufacturer of retaining rings and clamps. For this company, he negotiates and drafts distribution, licensing, supply, employment and indemnity agreements.
David's general business practice involves the structuring, organization and maintenance of numerous business entities. He regularly assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, business restructurings, and the purchase and sale of operations by means of stock and asset transactions. He also has a wide range of experience in negotiating and preparing shareholder, operating, license, distribution and employment agreements.
By developing a meaningful relationship with his clients and understanding their business environments and needs, David takes pride in helping them accomplish their goals in an efficient and effective manner.
