Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., is pleased to announce that Barbara L. Hollenbach, a member of the firm, has been selected for inclusion in the Workers’ Compensation Law-Employers section of the 2016 edition of Best Lawyers in America ®. Hollenbach has been listed in Best Lawyers of America ® since 2012.
Since its first edition in 1983, Best Lawyers in America has earned the reputation of being the most credible, unbiased peer- review publication in the legal profession by the public and attorneys alike. The list is based solely on the votes of thousands of lawyers evaluating their peers’ performance in their respective industries and unlike some other publications, there is no fee. It is considered a significant honor and a real reflection on the knowledge and skills of an attorney to be listed in Best Lawyers.
A resident of Bethlehem, Hollenbach focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, professional liability, products liability, and general litigation. Her civil litigation experience includes representing manufacturers of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and other products. She has represented professionals including psychiatrists and veterinarians; as well as clients in will contest actions including allegations of undue influence and lack of mental capacity. Hollenbach is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Hollenbach was first named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2006, and has been selected every year since 2008. She was the first woman elected president of the Northampton County Bar Association and is a past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Law Section. Since 2011, Hollenbach has served on the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Rules Committee. A Fellow of The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, Hollenbach has co-authored and co-presented the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Workers’ Compensation Practice & Procedures manual and course since 2000. An active community volunteer, she serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites. She earned her J.D., cum laude, in 1978 and her B.A., with highest distinction, in 1975 from Pennsylvania State University.
